Three, Two, One... Launch!
The Challenge: Coulter Events was approached by the campaign staff for a prominent national politician who was planning his announcement as a candidate for President of the United States. At that time, there were a number of announced candidates from the same political party, and the candidate and his staff wanted to ensure that the announcement conveyed both the story of the candidate’s public service and his vision for America. The announcement was scheduled on a total planning and execution horizon of three weeks.

The announcement was scheduled on a total planning and execution horizon of three weeks.
Coulter Events' Response: As the lead producer, Coulter Events was responsible for the overall look, production value and execution of the launch, including site selection, staging, script, audio visual, live national press feeds and VIP logistics, crowd development and live production. Together with the candidate and his campaign staff, the Coulter Events team examined the story the launch announcement would be designed to convey, advanced prospective event locations and event message. Coulter Events storyboarded the launch, secured the launch site (an idyllic but busy thoroughfare on Main Street of the candidate’s home town), designed the staging and audio visual components, coordinated with local and Federal authorities and selected and arranged the music that would accompany the announcement. The venue was prepped in a manner to maximize visual impact. The stage was literally set to convey the energy and commitment of the candidate’s vision.
The Result: A noontime crowd of more than 2,000 cheering supporters greeted the candidate in what USA Today called “the first of the [Presidential Candidate] announcements that looked, sounded and felt Presidential,” and what the New York Times stated as “the hottest of the Presidential launch announcements.”
