Amy B. Lotz, CAE joined Alliance for Women in Media, a client of Coulter Nonprofit Management, in October 2002. Prior to being named AWM’s executive vice president, Lotz served as the association's director of member programs and managing director. Throughout her tenure, Lotz has been integrally involved with the growth and development of several AWM pinnacle programs and activities, including the Gracie Awards, student initiatives and scholarships, public service campaigns, and growth strategies.

Lotz also serves as the Executive Director of the Association Foundation Group which joined the Coulter client list in July 2010. During her time with AFG, Lotz led the organization through a business planning process and the revamping of several key programs.

Lotz's nonprofit management expertise stems from her seven years with the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy, where she served as the senior manager of membership and board programs.  Lotz also served as director of membership for AIDS Action, a nonprofit advocacy organization based in Washington, D.C.

As Coulter's awards program advisor, Lotz coordinated the launch of the Gies Awards, the pre-eminent recognition of exceptional contribution to and support of oral health and oral health education around the world, and an inaugural program of the American Dental Education Association Gies Foundation. In its launch year, the Gies Award surpassed all expectations in number of nominations, attendance, fundraising and media impressions.

Lotz earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville, Virginia, and served as a docent in a Charlottesville art museum while completing her studies. She has been a member of the American Society of Association Executives for more than 10 years.  She earned her CAE in 2009.

Lotz, her husband, Trip, and their son reside in Reston, Virginia.
